Quarterly Safety Initiative Winner is Embry Transport Inc!
AgriTrust of Georgia has announced Embry Transport Inc. of Eatonton as the 4th quarter winner of the 2013 Quarterly Safety Initiative. The Quarterly Safety Initiative is a program conducted by AgriTrust, a self-insured workers’ compensation fund that services agribusinesses in the state of Georgia, to encourage safety training by its fund members. Winners receive a $2,000 prize if they have had no lost time claims during the quarter.
Embry Transport Inc. is owned by Roy and Ruth Embry and specializes in hauling bulk commodities, sand, dirt and gravel. The company is totally family operated and is non-discriminatory. Founded in March of 1996, Embry Transport Inc. survived the recession without a single layoff. Their submission of safety training with 10 employees, “CDL New Requirements”, was drawn as the winning entry. They encourage their employees to be observant and pay attention to their surroundings. The Embry’s believe that it was a team effort to be eligible for the prize money and plan to allocate part of the winnings back to the employees in bonuses.
