2019 Second Quarter Safety Initiative Winner Announced
Bradbury Family Partnership – Winner of AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative for 2nd Quarter 2019
Bogart, Georgia – September 5, 2019 – Congratulations to Bradbury Family Partnership, better known as Whitehall Plantation and Sodmasters Ga, of Montrose, Georgia, for being named the Second Quarter Winner of the AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative. Totaling over 8,400 acres, Whitehall Plantation started as a private quail plantation and has progressed into a diverse agribusiness. While most of the acreage is still reserved for wild quail, turkey, and deer, some land has been cultivated for row crops and the growing operations for Sodmasters Ga.
With so much activity happening throughout the year, safety has to be top priority. Chuck Todd manages Sodmasters Ga and Jason Armstrong manages the over 4,000 acres dedicated to wildlife habitat and timber. Both have bought into a safety mindset and approach safety issues with their employees on a day-to-day/job-to-job basis. They constantly point out and correct the little things that could lead to accidents and understand that a safe environment fosters a caring and productive workplace. For their dedicated approach to safety, Whitehall Plantation and Sodmasters Ga have been selected as the winner for the AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative and were presented with a check for $2,000.00.
AgriTrust of Georgia is a group self-insured workers’ compensation fund that provides workers’ compensation insurance coverage for the agricultural industry in the state of Georgia. The Quarterly Safety Initiative is designed to encourage all of the Fund members to participate in an active safety program.
