Morris Joins AgriTrust of Georgia Board of Trustees!

Mr. Randall Morris of Morris Enterprises, Inc. in Uvalda, Georgia joins the current Board of Trustees as the newest Trustee for AgriTrust of Georgia. Morris Enterprises, Inc. is owned and operated by Randall and his brother, Howard. It is a diversified farming operation that includes Vidalia onions, cotton, corn, peanuts, green beans for fresh market and canning, commercial beef cattle, timber and soybeans in certain years. Morris Enterprises, Inc. has been insured by AgriTrust of Georgia since 2001 and has an excellent loss history.
 
Mr. Morris has led a distinguished career through his college years as well as in agribusiness and in his community. While at ABAC, he received the Outstanding Graduate and the George P. Donaldson Award. He is also a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia and was named the Outstanding Senior in the College of Agriculture. Mr. Morris has served as chairman of the Vidalia Onion Committee and was a member of the original committee that developed and achieved passage of the marketing order for Vidalia onions. He has received numerous awards from Georgia Farm Bureau including State Discussion Meet Winner and State Young Farmer of the Year. Mr. Morris served on the Montgomery County Board of Education from 1987-2010 and served as chairman from 2001-2010. Since 1987, Mr. Morris has also served on the Altamaha EMC Board of Directors and currently serves as vice president. He is also a board member of the Georgia Energy Cooperative, has served on the Governor’s Advisory Council and is a director for Altamaha Bank and Trust.
 
With his family, Mr. Morris is an active member of Uvalda Baptist Church and serves as a Deacon and Music Director. AgriTrust welcomes Mr. Randall Morris as he begins his service as a Trustee for AgriTrust of Georgia.
