2014 Cotton Gin Safety Initiative Winner Announced!
AgriTrust of Georgia has announced Griggs Gin of Pinehurst as the winner of the 2014 Cotton Gin Safety Initiative. The Cotton Gin Safety Initiative is a program conducted by AgriTrust, a self-insured workers’ compensation fund that services agribusinesses in the state of Georgia, to encourage safety training by its cotton gin members. Winners receive a $2,000 prize if they have had no lost time claims during the ginning season.
Griggs Gin was founded in 1968 by W.C. Griggs Jr. and is currently owned by George Griggs, Billy Griggs and Gloria Conner. They have three full time employees and 2 part time employees. Griggs Gin believes safety is a mind-set and that safety should be kept in front of the employees at all times. They strive to always think about safety first.
